New Battery Incentives for NSW Residents - Get In Now!
The NSW Government is set to launch a new home battery incentive program offering significant savings for residents and businesses. Eligible participants can receive between $1600 and $2400 off the upfront installation cost of a household battery for homes and businesses with existing solar systems. Additionally, there's an extra incentive of $250 to $400 for connecting a battery to a Virtual Power Plant (VPP), which can be claimed a second time after three years.
Maximise Solar Energy with Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) Incentives
Homes and businesses with rooftop solar will soon benefit from the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) incentives, promoting the installation of residential battery storage. These incentives will help maximise the use of solar energy and significantly reduce electricity bills.
Benefits of Installing Batteries in NSW
- Enhanced Grid Reliability: More batteries across NSW will make the grid more reliable and stable.
- Reduced Fossil Fuel Reliance: Helps reduce reliance on fossil fuels during peak demand periods.
- Environmental Impact: Contributes to reducing NSW’s emissions by 70% by 2035 and achieving net zero by 2050.
